Osborn's

Notes

Long run from Osborn's with Wes and Jesse. Run earlier than we've been going which was good, it was still very warm but not a scorcher. They weren't going that long and since I am calling this a recovery week I figured I would go shorter and get some recovery. This week I was just not smart about running, I just went out and did it but I didn't prioritize it enough, like didn't plan my day so that I was always prepared (i.e. getting enough sleep, hydrating, running when it's cooler, and eating at smart times). So this week I need to get back to getting my priorities straight again.

Also, interesting fact I found out today - at Northeastern they have practice at 6 AM every morning, they usually drive to softer surfaces, and then they also meet in the afternoons 3-4 times a week for lifting and what Wes described as "Joe Kelley" stuff (core/flexibility/med ball stuff). Pretty legit. Also Wes is hooked on the recovery formula.

Is the GOAT going to get more GOAT-er?!

J_M_L

Like the 6 am practices. A lot of good division 1 programs do this.

Another big D1 day is tempo in the AM- fast 300's or 400's in the pm. Especially for mid distance guys in track.

PS if we had vehicles we would drive to soft surfaces too.

J_M_L

PPS, you ever going to hit 90 mpw?

Robert LaMarre

Yes I remember seeing that OSU did their workouts at 6 and they are pretty good.

Robert LaMarre

Will do 90 next week. Then the workouts the week after that (and will stay in the 85+ range for the coming weeks)
